About Lisa:
Design inspiration came early for Lisa. She grew up just outside Washington, D.C. in historic Alexandria, Virginia, an architectural wonderland complete with cobblestone streets and gas lanterns (rather like Charleston, minus the palm trees).
Two uber artistic parents later
Lisa’s Dad was a sage master craftsman who painstakingly painted and restored countless Old Towne Alexandria homes, down to the fastidious application of gold leaf on each home’s historic registry plaque. She proudly remembers tagging along for restoration of the Marquis de Lafayette house.
Her Mom should have headed Chanel, as she could fashion even the most complicated garment with ease (but still put up with bellbottoms). From wools, silks and velvets to gingham and dotted Swiss, she was a walking library of textures, weights, colors, and silhouettes.
Lisa’s dream was to attend a New York design school, but for a tender teenager with wanderlust, it wasn’t to be. She became a journalist, then segued to an award winning career in voice over. With camera in tow and an editorial eye, she’s been documenting the design world she loves since 2017. Many miles, countries, and coasts later, Lisa is a gleeful amalgamation of east and west coast style.
